1 – Fun
The team knew how to have fun and truly enjoyed each other’s company.
We laughed every day and loved to collaborate. Every time you walk past my team, you’ll hear us buzzing. Our team became “the noisiest team” on the floor.
But, it’s not noise – it is JOY!
2 – Caring
We took care of each other.
When a team member is struggling with a task, there’s always someone who will jump in and help.
3 – Candid
We openly discuss challenges, issues, and even differences of opinion.
Everyone knew our passionate arguments come from a place of care. No backlash. An open dialogue allowed us to hear different perspectives.
We made better decisions are a result.
4 – Reflective
We took time to reflect as a team.
We acknowledged our wins. And we also learn from mistakes and challenges. We do make a point to improve at least one thing at a time.
5 – Focused
Our goals were always clear, so we stayed focused.
Clear priorities meant we don’t move on to the next task unless the prioritised work were complete and ready to ship.
This meant testers wrote stories and developers & the business analyst wrote and ran tests – when needed.
When you think about the best team you’ve had, what comes to mind?
